If you’re already in Cagliari the weekend before the wedding—whether you live there or have arrived early—come join us for some drinks to kick off the celebrations!
Cagliari, the capital of Sardinia, is a lively port city on the island’s southern coast. Surrounded by scenic hills and lagoons, it offers a perfect mix of Mediterranean charm, modern amenities, and natural beauty. The city is famous for its stunning beaches, particularly Poetto Beach, a long stretch of golden sand with crystal-clear waters just a short distance from the centre. Cagliari’s bustling markets, such as the Mercato di San Benedetto, and its vibrant culinary scene make it a fantastic destination for food lovers.
Cagliari’s historic quarters — Castello, Marina, Stampace, and Villanova — each offer a unique character and atmosphere. Castello, perched on a hill, is the city’s oldest district, known for its medieval walls, narrow streets, and breathtaking views of the city and sea. Marina, located near the port, is lively and cosmopolitan, full of restaurants, bars, and shops. Stampace, the traditional artisan quarter, is home to charming streets and significant historical sites like the Roman Amphitheatre. Villanova, with its pastel-coloured houses and flower-filled streets, exudes a peaceful and residential vibe, offering a contrast to the busier areas of the city.
The historic districts of Cagliari are the ultimate destination for food, drinks, and nightlife, and we’re confident anyone new to the city will love the atmosphere! Our plan is to start with an aperitivo around 7 PM (most likely you won’t need dinner afterward!) and then wander through the best bars in town, soaking up the lively vibe.
The evening will be fairly casual, but if we have a large group, we may need to reserve a few spots in advance.
Let us know if you’re interested so we can make arrangements!
