Costa di Baunei is one of Gigi’s favorite locations. Located on the eastern coast of Sardinia, is a breathtaking stretch of rugged coastline within the Gulf of Orosei. Renowned for its dramatic limestone cliffs, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and secluded beaches, it offers a sense of untouched natural beauty. Among its highlights are Cala Goloritzé, a UNESCO-listed beach famous for its striking rock formations and pristine waters, and Cala Mariolu, known for its white pebbles and rich underwater marine life. The area is also a haven for hikers, with trails like the Selvaggio Blu providing challenging yet rewarding routes through cliffs, forests, and hidden coves. Costa di Baunei is a perfect destination for those seeking tranquillity, adventure, and the charm of an unspoiled Mediterranean landscape.

This activity will last for the whole day and will require an early start and a late finish (approximately 6am to 8pm), but we promise… every second will be worth it! We’ll organize a bus that will leave Cagliari early in the morning and take us to Cala Gonone (approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes of travel time), returning in the evening. If you’re not staying in Cagliari or prefer to drive your own car, just let us know!

We have two options in mind to cater to everyone’s preferences.

OPTION 1: DINGHY TOUR
We’ll hire several (hopefully many!) dinghies with a capacity of 6 to 10 people each. No boat license is required, so one person per dinghy will need to take on the fun task of driving! This option allows us to stop at various little beaches (calas), swim, explore, and move on to the next one at our own pace. Each dinghy will be equipped with an umbrella and an esky, but food and drinks will be BYO. The cost will depend on the number of participants, but we estimate it will be around €30 (or $50) per person for the tour, running from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, plus the transfer cost (to be confirmed).

OPTION 2: MINI CRUISE TOUR
The water in Sardinia is typically as flat as a pool, but a dinghy can still get a bit bumpy, so this is a great option for those who prefer a more relaxing experience. If you’re looking for comfort you can join a mini cruise that lasts around 7 hours (different options available). It will take you around the Gulf of Orosei with stops at several beautiful beaches and the opportunity to visit incredible spots along the coast, including the Grotte del Bue Marino caves (additional ticket required). The cost is approximately €60 (or $100) per person, and some drinks and snacks will be included.

Please let us know if you’re interested so we can start negotiating the price for a BIG FAT group!
